26th National Street Choir Festival (2008)
The 2008 Festival was held in Brighton on 11th to 13th July but unfortunately Caedmon Choir was unable to attend. INSTEAD we took part in 'Town and Country' on 27th and 28th June, a weekend of events organised by Heaton Voices from Newcastle. Other choirs involved included Durham Scratch Choir and Tynedale Community Choir.Our programme for the weekend was: Saturday 28th June. Singing in Saltwell Park Gateshead and Heaton Park Newcastle. 11am – 4pm (approx)Sunday 29th June. Singing at Allendale in an afternoon workshop led by Craig, Morgan, Robson followed by an excellent barbecue before an evening concert given by Craig, Morgan, Robson with support from Tynedale Community Choir.
